Program Mission

The mission of the Master of Business Administration program is to contribute to the goals of Norwich University by providing high quality outcomes for graduates of the MBA in the areas of experiential learning, leadership, creativity and critical thinking in the core disciplines of Strategic Resource Management, Managerial Finance, Strategic Marketing Management, Strategic Operations Management, and Strategic Management.

Program Goals

  • Students will have a working knowledge of the key concepts of strategic resource management, managerial finance, marketing management, operations management, and strategic management.
  • Students will understand and be able to apply the key concepts used in the primary functional areas of business management.
  • Students will acquire the critical and creative thinking skills to identify business problems and recommend implementable solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Students will demonstrate an understanding of the process for solving business problems and making sound business decisions.
  • Students will be able to write and orally present ideas and proposals persuasively and effectively.

Unique Curriculum

Norwich University's MBA is specifically designed for working professionals. The Norwich MBA program relieves you of the constraints of traditional classroom education by providing all class interaction via a virtual classroom. You are provided with Help Desk Support for access issues within the classroom, a uniquely designed curriculum structure, and a caring atmosphere that comes along with being part of Norwich University.

The online MBA blends practical experience with the latest business trends and theories. The core curriculum covers the foundation of a traditional MBA including Finance, Operations, Strategic Resource Management, Marketing, and Strategic Management. To ensure that you have the latest blend of skills to compete and succeed in your specific industry, you can customize your MBA in one of three critical areas of business: Finance, Organizational Leadership, or Project Management. If you prefer not to specialize in any of these areas, you also have the option to select a General MBA. Our system of feedback and continuous improvement ensures we are staying in touch with your needs and the latest thinking in the field.

Faculty

Class Size

Small class sizes (not more than 16 students) ensure you receive individualized attention directly from faculty. You also develop close relationships with fellow learners from around the world as you interact with them creating a vast network of professional contacts.

The MBA program is structured as follows:
  • Four start dates per year; March, June, September or December
  • Six, six-credit, eleven-week seminars
  • Complete all coursework in 18 months
  • For students requiring the six-month prerequisite, the program will take 24 months to complete
  • Graduate 18-24 months from your enrollment date
  • Capstone residency experience
  • Online, highly experiential asynchronous curricular activities including threaded discussions, reading, writing, and workplace-oriented assignments
